CityMusic Columbus provided a unique morning of entertainment by sponsoring two well-known local jazz musicians and an artist at East Columbus Elementary School in Columbus.
Fifth-graders were thrilled to combine visual art and music, drawing their inspiration, literally, through music.
Jazz violinist Christian Howes, recently nominated Violinist of the Year by the Jazz Journalists Association, joined jazz percussionist Cedric Easton and artist Todd Camp to teach the importance of art and music in a fun and creative way.
The collaboration of artists is part of CityMusic Columbus’ mission to bring music education into the classroom, and talented musical groups to the city for live performances.
