Christian
Howes has been a Yamaha endorser for more than xx years now.
He performs on the Yamaha SV-200, and is one of Yamaha's most
notable performing artists - giving workshops constantly in the
United States and abroad.
Of Yamaha, Christian
says "I play so many different styles professionally, from bluegrass
to jazz and beyond. The Yamaha Silent Electric Violin allows
me to modify my tone for every kind of musical setting."
The Yamaha SV200
Silent Violin is part of a series of cellos, violins, violas and
upright basses that allow players to practice at normal volume while
maintaining virtual silence to the outside world!
Yamaha has achieved the incredible SV200 Silent Violin by totally
redesigning the conventional instrument. Instead of an internal
resonating chamber like a traditional violin, Yamaha has inserted a
studio quality audio pickup below the bridge. Combined with the
internal effects processor, the instrument produces a rich, full
bodied tone that can be amplified for live performance or studio
recording.
New Yamaha technological advances in digital signal processing allow
the player of the SV200 to enjoy the same inspiring audio experience
that they hear when playing in a live concert hall. Reverb settings
and reverb hall sizes can be selected to imitate the acoustics of
various environments (like churches, halls, etc.).
Inputs are provided for other audio sources including CD players,
which allow you to play your SV200 Silent Violin along with your
favorite recordings.
